The Remuneration Board of the Senedd is the independent body responsible for setting the pay, pensions and allowances of Assembly Members and their staff. The Board was established by the National Assembly for Wales (Remuneration) Measure 2010, which received Royal Approval on 22 July 2010. https://www.remunerationboard.wales/
I am paid £67,649 per year to serve as your Member of the Senedd.
I don’t have a second job or second income.
I don’t make an income from a second home.
I don’t have any Shareholdings and I am not a member of any bodies in receipt of Senedd Commission or Welsh Government funds.
In order to serve you, I am given a fixed budget each year to cover my office costs. These budgets include:
Staff budget – £107,350
Office budget (constituency) – £20,060
Office budget (Senedd) – £6,712
Office Security: Members may make a claim for the reimbursement of costs incurred for the purpose of enhancing security at their constituency/regional offices, where such measures have been recommended by the Senedd Commission’s security advisors. Such costs will be met from Determination on Members’ Pay and Allowances: Sixth Senedd (Number Two): 2021-22 central funds.
